I wrote and produced my first stage play under Shoya's Writings in 2012 and had a stellar year. The Love's
Got A Hold On Me team was built from this endeavour. #teamLGH Derived from my novel, Goodbye Don't
Always Mean Gone; Love's Got A Hold On Me was a smashing success with it's first run in March at The Freedom Hall Manilow Theatre in Park Forest, Ilinois. We took the show on the road when I entered my play for the Atlanta Black Theatre Festival and not only was it chosen, we were voted top five of the festival favorites out of 40 plays in 4 days. On October 27th the play ran again at The Harold Washington Cultural Center in Chicago.
Love's Got A Hold On Me is a story of two best friends, living two totally different lives with one thing in common...the desire for love. This is a story of friendship, love, lust, domestic abuse, pain and healing.
I'm an advocate against Domestic Violence!
I'm currently penning, Love's Got A Hold On Me Too, which is soon to be set to be released in 2013.
